Первое появление iPhone на прилавках магазинов вызвало бурю негодующих криков со стороны покупателей. Но время прошло и имидж сделал свое дело: необычный гаджет покупают на радость себе и в подарок близким. Как игровая платформа, iPhone вполне способен составить серьёзную конкуренцию той же Nintendo DS или PSP.
Руководители компании Electronics Arts объявили, что они работают над портированием под платформу iPhone ожидаемого многими хита Spore, симулятора гольфа Tiger Woods и гоночного симулятора Need For Speed. Компания Sega уже выпустила на этой платформе Sega Super Monkey Ball и планирует продолжать баловать платформу новыми играми.
