На прошедшей церемонии награждения Spike Video Game Awards вновь отличился GTA IV. Игра получила титулы Game of the Year, Best Action Adventure Game, а Майкл Холлик (Michael Hollick) получил награду за озвучку главного персонажа Нико Беллика.
Позади мастера по автоугону оказался Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, отличившийся в номинациях “Лучшая графика” и “Лучший оригинальный саундтрек”. Экшену Left 4 Dead отдали предпочтение в категориях “Лучшая игра для PC”, “Лучшая мультиплеерная игра”. Без внимания не остался и Gears of War 2 – “Лучший проект для Xbox 360”, “Лучший шутер”.
